Schváleno: Z ministerstva financí se stane cenzurní úřad 
The bill passed: Ministry of Finance will become censorship office.
Poslanecká sněmovna právě schválila zavedení cenzury Internetu v ČR. V rámci novely zákona o loteriích dnes sněmovna Ministerstvu financí garantovala pravomoc zcenzurovat libovolný web, který bude zařazen na "seznam nepovolených Internetových her". 
The Chamber of Deputies has just passed Internet censorship in the Czech Republic. Under the new Lottery Bill, Ministry of Finance will gain powers to censor any website by adding it to "list of unlicensed Internet gambling sites"
Neprošel ani pozměňující návrh na vyřazení cenzurních paragrafů ze zákona, ani návrh, aby o cenzurování webů rozhodoval soud. Cenzurní paragrafy podpořili poslanci ANO, ČSSD, KDU-ČSL, KSČM a Úsvitu. 
Amendments that would remove these powers or give them to courts instead of the Ministry were defeated. Censorship provisions were upheld by deputies from ANO, Social Democrats, Christian Democrats, Communists and Dawn - Nation Coalition.
Ivan Bartoš, předseda Pirátů k rozhodnutí sněmovny říká: "Dnešek je černý den pro svobodu Internetu v České republice. Pokusíme se toto rozhodnutí zvrátit v Senátu a pokud se to nepodaří, uděláme, co budeme moci, aby cenzurní paragrafy zrušil Ústavní soud. Cenzura je nepřípustná."
Ivan Bartoš, leader of Pirate Party, comments on deputies' vote result: "Today is a black day for freedom of Internet in the Czech Republic. We will try to overturn this decision in the Senate, and if we fail, we will do everything we can to get the Constitutional Court to abolish the censorship provisions. Censorship is unacceptable."
